About these images

Photographs from ACON's presentation and brochure.

ACON helps turn Ahmedabad's 37,500 street lights into a smart city platform. The company presents it as India's largest smart lighting project.

Each light can be managed and controlled on its own. ACON says this helps the city improve energy efficiency, increase public and traffic safety, reduce CO2 emissions and lower operation and maintenance costs.

ACON's website describes the work as India's first and largest smart light retrofit on wireless technology. For it, the city received the Gold Award for Best Safety & Security Initiative of the Year at the ET Government Global Smart Cities Forum.

The deck illustrates the project with a night view of C.G. Road.
